The school life of Frazier began with the David Tobias Howard High School. His early life did not start only with basketball but also with football. He got offered to play basketball with Southern Illinois University, and he accepted it. His basketball career began at this university.

During his professional career in the basket arena, he played for the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers. NBA player Willis Reed also started his career with this team. Dave DeBusschere and Frazier were teammates on the New York Knicks.
