Brad was born on September 9, 1984, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, United States. His full name is Bradley Edwin Guzan. He is the son of his father, Richard Guzan, and his mother, Karen. 

In the early years of his life, he spent his youth career playing soccer at the Chicago Magic Soccer Club. In his school career, he went to Providence Catholic High School in Illinois.
