He started his basketball career with his school life. In his school life, he went to Hunter Huss High School (HHHS) in Gastonia, NC. His impressive performance led the team to the North Carolina state basketball championship in 1977.
His college career began at Georgetown University. In his college life, he played for the Georgetown Hoyas men’s basketball program. Here he played from 1978 to 1982.
