At first, he went to Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Here he played for the Bradley Braves men’s basketball team from 2001 to 2003. In his freshman year, he averaged 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in the 2001–02 seasons. As a sophomore, he scored 19.2 points and grabbed 7.9 rebounds.
