The basketball career of Albert King began early in his life. His school and college career were more glowing than his professional life. During the tenure of his school and college life, he showed outstanding performance that was not done by others. His school and college career was the golden periods of his life. He went to the Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, New York. During this school life, he became the top prep player in the nation during his senior year.

At his college level, he went to the University of Maryland in College Park and played for the Maryland Terrapins men’s basketball team from 1977 to 1981. For his outstanding career in college life, his name was inducted to the ACC 50th Anniversary men’s basketball team, considered one of the fifty greatest players in Atlantic Coast Conference history.

He started playing professional basketball in the NBA in 1981. He stopped the journey of his professional life in 1991.  

In the long journey of his career, he played for the New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, Olimpia Milano, Hapoel Holon, Albany Patroons, and Washington Bullets. 

In the 1981 NBA draft, he was taken by the New Jersey Nets in 10th overall for round 1. He played with this team from 1981 to 1986.

After leaving the New Jersey Nets, he signed a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1987. Next year, Albert played for the San Antonio Spurs. He exchanged coaches with the Olimpia Milano in 1989.

In the last phase of his NBA career, he was traded to the Albany Patroons, and here he stayed in the 1990-91 seasons. The last matches in his life were with the Washington bullets in 1991. Wearing the jersey of the Bullet, he said “Good Bye” to professional life.
